ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Product Manager is a subject matter expert responsible for crafting the vision and backlogs across multiple product verticals. As an individual contributor, this role presents options for the long-term strategy for their products to key stakeholders and exercises considerable judgment and initiative to solve complex problems. This role works closely with business stakeholders and external vendors to deliver features that support company objectives.
KEY DUTIES
- Acts as a subject matter expert in product management, driving vision, strategy, and roadmap alignment to enterprise business objectives.
- With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgment to make decisions in backlog prioritization and product strategy to maximize value delivery and achieve business outcomes.
- Makes recommendations to address complex business challenges through data-driven product strategy, business cases, and economic modeling.
- Guides, influences, and coaches others to execute against product roadmaps, deliver high-quality releases, and align to OKRs and success metrics.
- Own and communicate product roadmap, backlog, and OKRs, ensuring transparency, alignment, and clear articulation of progress and risks to senior stakeholders.
- Leverage data, analytics, and industry insights to inform prioritization, validate solutions, and continuously improve product performance.
- Delivers measurable impact against key product metrics and business outcomes, ensuring alignment to strategic goals.
- Leads cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement, including influencing senior leaders and delivering difficult messages with credibility.
- Oversees end-to-end product execution, including release readiness, go-to-market coordination, operational quality, and vendor/partner management.
JOB-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS
Required
- 4 years of experience in a product management role, or related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Digital Platforms, or a related field; or an additional 2 years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Experience working directly with back-office enterprise systems and applications.
- Experience managing external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise software development, with proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a history of building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Proven record managing digital products in a complex technical environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Knowledge of the airline and/or travel industries and related technologies.
- Deep working knowledge of agile product development concepts.

COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $117,700-$176,550 / year
SALARY DETAILS
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
