Your leadership on this software solution will be instrumental in our initiative to modernize how data is accessed and managed, enabling teams across the company to more easily work with their own data through the user-friendly tools your team builds. This project involves a shift from traditional data handling processes, with your primary focus being on overseeing a robust application that empowers this new approach to data accessibility and decentralized ownership.
About this Role:
This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a collaborative individual who thrives on ownership, stakeholder management, and team mentorship. You will be at the forefront of our data modernization, providing the guidance and support needed to design, build, and maintain production-grade software for the Data Self-Service Platform. You will build a solution that provides these capabilities and more to our engineering and analytics teams.
About the Project: Data Self-Service Platform
The Data Self-Service Platform initiative addresses critical challenges in our current data operations. You will build a suite of tools that centralizes data quality and empowers analytics teams to drive insights. Specifically, you will develop a Self-Service Data Quality Platform that enables engineering and analytics teams to monitor pipelines, set up alerts, and maintain data integrity. Additionally, you will build an AI-powered analytics platform that allows analytics teams to automatically generate semantic layers and data models for use by analytic agents, accelerating time-to-insight and reducing manual dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, mentor, and foster the professional growth of a team of software engineers.
- Coordinate project planning, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.
- Serve as a bridge between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure high code quality, observability, and robust architecture practices.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in leadership/management.
- Experience leading full-stack teams (React/Python preferred).
- Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience overseeing production-grade full-stack applications and gRPC/REST API development.
- Experience managing containerized environments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Github).
- Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms and relational/cloud data platforms (Snowflake).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Claude AI, AI-enhanced development environments, or modular automation tools like MCPs.
- Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
- Exposure to CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, and MediatR.
- Knowledge of structured logging, retry policies, and health check integrations.
- Understanding of security concepts like JWT, Okta, and policy-based auth.
- Experience with .NET 6+ or .NET 8.0.
- DBT (Data Build Tool)

Mid Level Senior Software Engineering Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level senior software engineering job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just contribution. Highlight features or systems you drove from design through deployment, decisions you made independently, and any mentoring or code review responsibilities. Concrete outcomes matter more than job titles, so frame your resume around measurable impact, such as latency improvements, reliability gains, or user-facing feature launches you led rather than supported.
Which companies hire mid level senior software engineerings?
Companies hiring mid level senior software engineerings right now include GEICO, Apple, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level covers both large technology organizations scaling their product teams and growth-stage companies that need engineers who can work independently without heavy management overhead.
Are there remote mid level senior software engineering jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 33% of mid level senior software engineering openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have distributed their engineering teams. Filtering for remote roles on Migrate Mate lets you target those openings directly within the full set of current listings.
How do I move up to a mid level senior software engineering role?
Growth from early-career to mid level comes from deepening your ownership, not just accumulating years. Focus on taking full responsibility for a feature or service, including design, testing, and post-launch behavior. Seek out code review, cross-team collaboration, and projects with ambiguous requirements. Demonstrating that you can operate with less guidance and help others on your team move faster signals readiness for mid level responsibilities.
Which industries hire the most mid level senior software engineerings?
Mid Level senior software engineering roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Insurance, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors invest heavily in product development and platform reliability, which creates sustained demand for engineers who can own projects independently rather than requiring close direction on every deliverable.
