Who's Hiring

Service Technician Jobs in Boise: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a service technician job in Boise?
The strongest path into Boise's service technician market is targeting the city's dominant equipment and infrastructure employers: HVAC and refrigeration contractors in the Airport West corridor, medical device companies near the Boise Bench, and agricultural equipment dealers serving the broader Treasure Valley. Hands-on certifications in refrigerants, electronics repair, or industrial controls give Boise candidates a clear edge over generalist applicants in a market where specialized skills move faster than general labor.
Which companies hire service technicians in Boise?
Employers hiring service technicians in Boise right now include Sears, POOLCORP, and Turbo Air, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boise's hiring mix tends to lean toward regional equipment distributors, specialty contractors, and manufacturing support operations rather than large national service chains.
How can I get a service technician job in Boise with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boise is applying to entry-level helper or apprentice roles with local HVAC and electrical contractors, particularly the smaller residential and light commercial shops in the North End and Southeast Boise neighborhoods that train from scratch. Boise's growing data center presence near the Gowen Road area also hires junior facilities technicians who learn on the job. A vocational certificate from the College of Western Idaho strengthens any application and is recognized by Boise-area employers across trades and equipment service.
