Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web services and applications
- Perform manual and automated testing of APIs and web services using tools such as SOAPUI
- Understand and support testing involving digital certificates, encryption, and secure communications (e.g., SSL/TLS)
- Validate system behavior against business and system requirements
- Utilize strong database knowledge (SQL) to validate backend data integrity
- Perform data-driven testing, ensuring consistency between application behavior and database records
- Troubleshoot service failures and support root cause analysis
- Execute, maintain, and expand automated test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement scalable solutions
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and user stories
- Create innovative and non-standard test scenarios to uncover edge cases and potential system vulnerabilities
- Document and report test results, defects, and test metrics clearly and accurately, providing actionable insights
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
- Work closely with developers, system architects, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with our clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving mission results
- Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience on IT projects using an Agile or similar software engineering lifecycle and related tools
- Clearance: Due to Federal contract and/or regulatory requirements, this position is limited to U.S. citizens only. This position does not offer employer sponsorship
- Currently holds or has the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Direct experience testing APIs and web services
- Experience testing cloud-based technology (e.g., AWS)
- Experience developing and executing automated test tools
- Independent creation of test documentation, including plans, test cases / scripts, and test result reports and metrics
- Experience in Federal government IT projects
- Direct experience with clients and stakeholder engagement and delivering work products for clients in a complex environment
- Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
- Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools like SharePoint
- Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
- Ability to work in the Washington, DC metro area and travel to different locations
- Critical Skills: Executive presence, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mind-set, excellent problem-solving skills, and interest in working in a consulting firm
