INTRODUCTION

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Resale Planning Supervisor leads certain Resale Business Unit team members through the daily duties of their respective area of operation. The Planning Supervisor receives direction from the Resale Supply Chain Manager and collaborates with the other Planning Supervisor and various departments, including but not limited to Strategic Sourcing, Product Management, Customer Service and DC Operations to drive continuous improvement in the pursuit of Supply Chain Excellence. This involves the implementation of new initiatives and processes, and participating in committees as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Associate Degree and/or 5 years experience in related field.
- Background in product planning, inventory management, or other related supply chain discipline highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with leadership, setting goals with follow-up, disciplinary issues, and policy enforcement.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; Intermediate level Excel skills required.
- JD Edwards (AS400) experience preferred.
- Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision in a professional manner.
- Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Support planning, purchasing, expediting and management of departmental goals and metrics.
- Daily monitoring/generation, analysis and reconciliation of various planning reports.
- Interact with cross-functional partners to coordinate timely shortage issue resolution and minimize impact on fill rates for customers.
- Collaborate with Operations Management and Customer Service to prioritize product allocations.
- Organize discussions and meetings with the appropriate stakeholders to proactively address critical inventory-related issues.
- Coordinate with Transportation and Distribution to prioritize inbound product movement.
- Work with the Resale team members to provide response to various Customer Service requests.
- Frequently meets with planners and buyers to discuss currents issues that affect customer satisfaction.
- Identify and help resolve departmental issues, including implementing process improvement.
- Provide leadership for the associates in department.
- Partner with Operations to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all department team members have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.
- Conduct coaching sessions, including performance evaluations, to improve associate performance.
- Lead associates through conflict resolution processes and mediate conflicts as needed. Resolve grievances and escalate higher-level disciplinary situations as appropriate. Document disciplinary issues.
- Approve Leave/Vacation per Company policy.
- Responsible for timely and accurate timekeeping data for direct report associates.
- Enforce all safety rules and company policies.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
