24 hour per week position mostly on Mondays and Fridays and 1 weekend shift in a 6-week schedule.

As a member of the surgical team in the General Operating Room, the SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. Each employee is obligated to deliver highly reliable care while adhering to all the National Patient Safety Goals. This occurs within a learning environment that is supportive and just, where each employee is valued for their contribution to the collective safety of patients, staff and visitors.
