Tax Analyst Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax analyst job in Dallas?
The strongest path into Dallas tax analyst roles is through the city's dense concentration of corporate headquarters and regional finance offices in energy, financial services, and professional services. Targeting companies based in Uptown, the Galleria corridor, and Las Colinas gives you the widest pool of openings. A CPA, CPA candidacy, or hands-on experience with federal and state income tax compliance gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire tax analysts in Dallas?

Are there remote tax analyst jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends on the role's focus, with desk-based compliance and research work more remote-friendly than positions requiring close coordination with local finance or legal teams. About 83% of tax analyst openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader trends in corporate finance. Roles focused on federal tax research and provision work tend to offer the most flexibility in the Dallas market.
How can I get a tax analyst job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Dallas is a staff tax accountant or tax associate role at a mid-size regional accounting firm or a large corporation's tax department in the Galleria or Las Colinas area. Dallas employers in energy and financial services routinely hire recent accounting graduates into rotational programs that feed into dedicated tax analyst tracks. Completing a tax internship locally and sitting for the CPA exam early are the two factors that most consistently open these doors.
Which industries hire the most tax analysts in Dallas?
The sectors hiring the most tax analysts in Dallas are Staffing & Recruiting and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026.
