Job Summary: The Tax Processing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Tax team. This individual is responsible for preparing and coordinating client documents, managing deliverables, and providing essential administrative support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless client experience. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Processes, assembles, and delivers electronic and mailed client deliverables, including tax returns, estimates, extensions, and related documents
- E-files tax returns and extensions and monitors submission status
- Scans and organizes client documentation
- Creates and maintains organized electronic client files
- Maintains accurate client information within the database
- Supports lockdown procedures, including maintenance for client data in tax software and document management systems
- Provides general office support, which may include answering phones, greeting clients, processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail or other shipments, and assisting with front office coverage as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned, including seasonal projects
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years of administrative experience in a professional services environment preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
- Excellent administrative and computer skills with ability to print, collate, and assemble documents both electronically and physically.
