Craft Contracting & Consulting LLC is hiring a Project Manager to help oversee wood-framed construction projects from preconstruction through fabrication, delivery, installation, billing, and closeout.
This is a full-time, in-person role serving the Greater Seattle and Tacoma area. Time will be split between project sites, our Tacoma production facility, and office coordination.
About Craft
Craft Contracting & Consulting is a women-owned construction company specializing in offsite wood framing systems, prefabricated building components, and dry-in building packages for residential and commercial projects.
We fabricate and install panelized wall systems, floor and roof assemblies, stair systems, and other wood-framed components that help projects move faster, reduce jobsite labor, improve quality control, and support safer construction.
About the Role
The Project Manager will work directly with company leadership to manage project scope, schedule, budget, documentation, client communication, production coordination, logistics, field installation, and closeout.
The ideal candidate has experience managing wood-framed construction projects from start to finish. Experience with prefabricated, panelized, manufactured, modular, or offsite wood construction is strongly preferred.
Estimating, bidding, buyout, and contract negotiation experience is also highly valuable.
What You’ll Do
- Manage assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, schedules, and project requirements.
- Support estimating, bidding, quantity reviews, scope development, and proposal preparation.
- Assist with contract review, scope clarification, exclusions, allowances, change orders, and negotiation support.
- Build and maintain project schedules for design coordination, fabrication, delivery, site readiness, installation, and closeout.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including estimating, design coordination, manufacturing, logistics, field installation, accounting, and leadership.
- Coordinate with owners, developers, general contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement items, budget impacts, schedule impacts, and project risks.
- Coordinate material procurement, vendor pricing, lead times, deliveries, production needs, and field installation requirements.
- Visit jobsites and the production facility regularly to verify progress, resolve issues, and support project execution.
- Support quality control in the shop and field to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, safety standards, and Craft expectations.
- Help improve internal project management systems, templates, workflows, and communication processes as Craft continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing wood-framed construction projects from start to finish.
- Experience with prefabricated, panelized, manufactured, modular, offsite, or componentized wood construction is strongly preferred.
- Experience with multifamily housing, townhomes, ADUs, DADUs, commercial wood framing, residential construction, or dry-in building packages is helpful.
- Estimating, bidding, takeoff, buyout, or proposal experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost tracking, procurement, billing support, and closeout documentation.
- Experience coordinating with field crews, production shops, suppliers, logistics teams, subcontractors, and general contractors.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
- Helpful Software Experience
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, ClickUp, Buildertrend, or similar construction management tools.
Education
A degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is helpful, but not required. Equivalent construction experience will be strongly considered.
Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and the level of responsibility the candidate can take on.
Education
Benefits to be discussed during interviews/upon hiring.
