Technical Solutions Architect Jobs in Tampa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technical solutions architect job in Tampa?
Focus your search on Westshore's corporate tech corridor, downtown Tampa's growing fintech cluster, and the healthcare IT firms anchored near USF and Tampa General. Employers in these sectors favor candidates with hands-on cloud platform experience, strong pre-sales or client-facing backgrounds, and familiarity with the specific stacks their verticals run. Certifications from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Cisco give candidates a measurable edge in Tampa's competitive market.
Which companies hire technical solutions architects in Tampa?
Tampa technical solutions architect roles are posted by JPMorganChase, DGR Systems, and Citi and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tampa's employer mix runs from large financial services and managed services providers to regional healthcare systems and defense contractors, all of which actively recruit for this role.
Are there remote technical solutions architect jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though the role often requires client-facing or on-site engagement, which limits fully remote arrangements compared to purely analytical positions. About 54% of technical solutions architect openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand from employers open to flexible work for the design and consulting phases of the role. Customer discovery calls and technical presentations are the tasks most commonly done remotely in Tampa-based positions.
How can I get a technical solutions architect job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tampa is moving laterally from a systems engineer, solutions engineer, or technical account manager role at a managed services provider or regional IT consultancy. Tampa's Westshore corridor and the USF Research Park area host several mid-size MSPs that hire associate-level technical staff and promote from within. Building a portfolio around cloud migration or network architecture projects, even in lab environments, gives entry-level candidates a concrete talking point with Tampa hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most technical solutions architects in Tampa?
Most technical solutions architect openings in Tampa sit in Banking & Financial Services, Investment & Asset Management, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tampa's concentration of regional bank headquarters, large insurance carriers, and a growing cybersecurity sector creates sustained demand for architects who can translate complex technical requirements into client-ready solutions.
