IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Position Overview
As an IT Support Specialist, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user technical issues across hardware, software, network systems, and Electronic Health Records. This role requires strong independent problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a customer-first mindset. This is an on-site position and employee must live within the ST Louis metro area due to travel time and training.
What You’ll Do
Provide technical support via phone, ticketing system, and in-person field work
Troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity
Support and configure Electronic Health Record systems
Install, update, and maintain hardware and software
Document all work within the support request system
Assist with IT projects and system improvements
Maintain hardware, software, and spare equipment inventories
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Escalate recurring issues to Network Engineers and leadership
Security & Compliance
Ensure all work aligns with system security protocols
Stay current on cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
What You Bring
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field preferred
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
3 years of experience in a technical support role
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft Certified (Azure, Hybrid)
Cisco CCNA
CompTIA certifications
Technical Expertise
Windows, ChromeOS, and occasional Mac systems
Active Directory, Microsoft administration, and Azure
Network configuration and troubleshooting (wired and wireless)
Imaging tools, device management, and system utilities
Citrix and software deployment tools
Security software installation and management
AI tools and troubleshooting
Conference room and telemedicine technology
Electronic Health Records and related medical devices
