Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Conference Services Manager
Frame your CV around client-facing deliverables
TN officers assess whether your role genuinely requires specialized knowledge. Quantify outcomes like room blocks managed, F&B contracts negotiated, and concurrent sessions coordinated rather than listing generic administrative duties.
Target hotels and convention centers with in-house CSM teams
Properties that staff Conference Services Managers internally, not just sales managers doubling up, already understand the role's scope. That makes the TN support letter faster to draft and less likely to mischaracterize your duties.
Request a detailed support letter covering specialty occupation
Your employer's letter must explain why a bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is required for the specific role. Generic offer letters that omit this routinely trigger CBP questions for Conference Services Manager applicants.
Verify your credential aligns with the USMCA job category
Conference Services Manager TN petitions typically file under Management Consultant. If your degree is in event management or tourism rather than business, prepare a credential evaluation showing equivalency to a U.S. four-year degree before your port-of-entry appointment.
Search for TN-eligible roles at employers with visa experience
Use Migrate Mate to filter Conference Services Manager postings by employers with recent visa filings. It cuts out listings where sponsorship is listed as possible but the employer has no track record of sponsoring work visas.
Ask specifically about TN renewal before accepting an offer
TN status is granted in three-year increments with unlimited renewals, but some hospitality employers mistakenly believe it is a single-use visa. Confirm your prospective employer understands renewal obligations before your first day.

Find Conference Services Manager JobsConference Services Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Conference Services Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, but the classification depends on how the role is structured. Conference Services Managers typically qualify under the USMCA's Management Consultant category when the position requires applying specialized hospitality or business knowledge to advise and coordinate for client organizations. Roles that are purely administrative or do not require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field are harder to support.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Conference Services Manager positions?
TN visa sponsorship is significantly more practical for this role. There is no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and no lengthy USCIS petition process. A Canadian applicant with a qualifying job offer can secure TN status directly at a port of entry in a single day. H-1B requires filing in April and waiting until October at the earliest, assuming selection in the lottery.
What documents do I need as a Mexican citizen applying for TN status in this role?
Mexican citizens must apply at a U.S. consulate rather than at the border. You'll need a valid passport, a detailed employer support letter explaining the specialty occupation nature of the Conference Services Manager role, proof of your qualifying degree, and the DS-160 application. Processing times at Mexican consulates vary, so build lead time into your offer negotiation.
Where can I find Conference Services Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters job listings by employers who have a verified history of sponsoring TN and H-1B visas, so you're not spending time on postings where sponsorship is theoretical. You can search directly by job title and filter for Conference Services Manager roles with active sponsorship.
Can I switch Conference Services Manager employers while on TN status?
Yes, but your TN authorization is tied to your current employer. You cannot start work with a new employer until you have new TN status approved for that employer. Canadian citizens can get new TN status at a port of entry with the new employer's support letter. Mexican citizens need to return to a consulate. Plan your transition timeline accordingly to avoid any gap in authorized employment.
