Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Digital Content Strategist
Frame your degree for TN eligibility
TN approval hinges on connecting your degree field to the role. A communications or marketing degree supports content strategy work, but you'll need your employer's offer letter to explicitly tie your daily duties to that credential.
Target employers with recent visa filings
Companies that have filed recent work visa applications for content or digital marketing roles already understand specialty occupation sponsorship. Searching employer visa filing history narrows your list to organizations experienced with sponsoring skilled workers in similar roles.
Search TN-specific roles through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Digital Content Strategist jobs by TN visa sponsorship availability, so you're only seeing employers actively open to USMCA-based hiring rather than sifting through postings with no sponsorship pathway.
Get your job offer letter TN-ready
The offer letter is your primary TN document. It must state your title, duties, degree requirement, full-time status, and employer details. Vague language around 'content creation' without strategic scope can trigger a CBP denial at the port of entry.
Distinguish your role from marketing generalists
CBP officers sometimes challenge Digital Content Strategist titles as not meeting specialty occupation standards. Your employer should document that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree, not that any degree qualifies, to withstand scrutiny at the border.
Understand the Mexican TN cap timeline
Mexican nationals face an annual TN allocation that can be exhausted before year-end. Filing earlier in the fiscal year improves your chances of securing one of the available numbers before the cap closes for that cycle.

Find Digital Content Strategist JobsDigital Content Strategist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Digital Content Strategist role qualify for TN visa status?
It can qualify, but the classification isn't automatic. TN status for this role typically falls under the Computer Systems Analyst category, which requires that the position centers on systematic content architecture, digital analytics, or SEO strategy tied directly to a relevant bachelor's degree. Generalist content creation duties without a strategic or technical scope are harder to defend at the port of entry.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Digital Content Strategist jobs?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be obtained at a Canadian port of entry on the same day with the right documents. H-1B requires a lottery selection, a months-long USCIS process, and an October 1 start date. For Canadians in particular, TN is a faster and more predictable path to starting a Digital Content Strategist role in the U.S.
Where can I find Digital Content Strategist jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Digital Content Strategist roles filtered by TN visa sponsorship availability, so you're not manually screening hundreds of postings that have no USMCA-based hiring pathway. The platform is designed for Canadian and Mexican professionals navigating exactly this job market.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer's core responsibility is drafting a detailed offer letter that states your job title, a description of duties demonstrating specialty occupation, the minimum degree required, your salary, and the employment start date. For Mexican nationals, the employer also files a TN petition with USCIS rather than the applicant presenting at the border, which means additional lead time and filing fees are involved.
Can I switch Digital Content Strategist employers while on TN status?
Yes, but you can't simply start working for the new employer without first obtaining TN authorization for that position. Canadians can apply at a port of entry with a new offer letter before starting. Mexican nationals need USCIS to approve a new TN petition. Working for the new employer before authorization is in place violates your status, so timing the transition carefully matters.
