Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Sourcing Coordinator
Align your degree to the role description
TN eligibility depends on a direct connection between your credential and the job duties. A supply chain or industrial engineering degree supports most Sourcing Coordinator filings. A general business degree requires a tighter job description from the employer to pass scrutiny.
Target employers with active procurement teams
Companies with dedicated procurement or supply chain departments are more likely to understand TN sponsorship and have HR processes ready to support it. Focus on manufacturers, retailers, and logistics firms that already staff multiple sourcing roles.
Request a detailed offer letter before filing
Your offer letter is a primary TN document. It must name the TN category, describe duties that match that category, and state the employment period. Vague letters that just list your job title cause denials at the port of entry or consulate.
Search TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Sourcing Coordinator jobs by employers with TN visa sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the process. Use it to identify which procurement teams have sponsored Canadian or Mexican professionals before.
Prepare for CBP questions on contract work
If your role involves managing third-party vendors or working on-site at supplier facilities, CBP officers sometimes question whether you qualify as an employee rather than a contractor. Have documentation showing the employer controls your work schedule and deliverables.
Confirm Mexican TN timing with your employer early
Mexican citizens require a consular appointment, which adds weeks to the timeline. Notify your employer before negotiating a start date so they can factor in the wait. USCIS premium processing is available for I-129 petitions if your employer files that route instead.

Find Sourcing Coordinator JobsSourcing Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sourcing Coordinator role qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on how the role is classified. Sourcing Coordinator positions typically qualify under the management consultant or industrial engineer TN categories, but the job duties must clearly match the chosen category. A role focused on supplier negotiation and procurement strategy fits management consultant. One centered on process optimization or supplier quality fits industrial engineer. The offer letter must reflect whichever category your employer selects.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Sourcing Coordinator jobs?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start as soon as an employer agrees to sponsor and the documentation is ready. H-1B requires entering the lottery in March with an October start date at the earliest. For Sourcing Coordinator roles, TN is generally faster and more predictable, provided your degree aligns with the qualifying category. Mexican citizens face a separate TN allocation, but it still avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a signed offer letter that names the TN category, outlines your specific sourcing duties, states that the position is professional-level work requiring a bachelor's degree, and specifies the employment period. Some employers also prepare a support letter from HR or legal counsel explaining how the role meets the TN definition. Canadian citizens bring these documents to the port of entry. Mexican citizens submit them as part of the consular application package.
Where can I find Sourcing Coordinator jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN visa roles in the U.S. It surfaces Sourcing Coordinator positions from employers with documented sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on companies that already understand the TN process rather than educating hiring managers from scratch during interviews.
Can I transfer my TN status if I change employers as a Sourcing Coordinator?
Yes, but you need new TN authorization tied to the new employer before you start working for them. Canadian citizens can go to a port of entry and apply with the new employer's offer letter. Mexican citizens must get a new visa stamp at a U.S. consulate. There is no grace period that allows you to work for the new employer while the transfer is pending, so timing coordination with both employers is essential.
