Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Sourcing Manager
Frame your degree for TN eligibility
Sourcing Manager positions are sponsored under the Management Consultant TN category. Your degree in supply chain, business, or a related field must demonstrably connect to consulting-based work, not just operational management. Document that link clearly before applying.
Target employers with supply chain complexity
Companies managing multi-tier supplier networks in manufacturing, retail, or technology are most likely to need a Sourcing Manager at a consulting-level scope. Focus your search on organizations with global procurement operations, where the TN consulting framing is most defensible.
Search TN-sponsored roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sourcing Manager jobs by employers actively offering TN visa sponsorship. This cuts out the step of cold-contacting HR teams who aren't familiar with TN eligibility for procurement and sourcing roles.
Require a detailed offer letter from your employer
Your TN application lives or dies on the offer letter. It must describe your duties in consulting terms, citing specific projects and methodology, not just listing managerial responsibilities. Push your employer to work with their legal team on this language before you apply at the border or consulate.
Prepare for port-of-entry scrutiny on job scope
Canadian citizens applying at a port of entry may face officer questions about whether a Sourcing Manager role is truly consultative versus purely operational. Bring supplier contracts, project briefs, or org charts that show you're advising on strategy, not just executing purchases.
Understand the Mexican TN allocation timeline
Mexican professionals face a separate annual TN cap and must apply through a U.S. consulate rather than at a port of entry. Factor consulate appointment availability into your start date negotiation with the employer, since wait times vary by location and season.

Find Sourcing Manager JobsSourcing Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sourcing Manager role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the role must be sponsored under the Management Consultant TN category, which requires the position to involve consulting-level work rather than purely operational management. Your employer's offer letter must describe duties like analyzing supplier performance, recommending procurement strategies, or advising on sourcing methodology. Roles focused entirely on purchase order execution are harder to qualify.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Sourcing Manager positions?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start as soon as your employer is ready and your application is approved. H-1B requires winning a random selection, then waiting until October 1 to begin work. For Sourcing Managers with a qualifying degree and a well-documented offer letter, TN is a faster and more predictable path than H-1B.
Where can I find Sourcing Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Sourcing Manager roles at employers who offer TN visa sponsorship, so you're not spending time on applications where sponsorship isn't on the table. Filtering by visa type upfront saves significant time and connects you with hiring managers already familiar with the TN process for procurement and supply chain roles.
Can I switch Sourcing Manager jobs while on a TN visa?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your current employer and role. When you change jobs, your new employer must file a new TN application, either at a port of entry for Canadians or through a consulate for Mexican nationals. You cannot simply transfer your existing TN to the new employer, so coordinate your start date carefully to avoid gaps in work authorization.
What documents does my employer need to provide for a Sourcing Manager TN application?
Your employer needs to provide a detailed offer letter specifying your job title, duties framed in consulting terms, the project scope, length of employment, and your compensation. Supporting materials like a statement of work, organizational chart showing your advisory role, or a summary of supplier projects you'll manage can strengthen a borderline application where the consulting nature of the role isn't obvious from the title alone.
