Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Supply Chain
Match your degree to the TN category
Supply Chain roles most often qualify under the Management Consultant or Industrial Engineer TN category. Your transcript must show a degree in a field the CBP officer will recognize as directly relevant to the job duties listed in your offer letter.
Request a TN-specific offer letter
Your offer letter must describe your duties in specialty-occupation language, not a generic job title. Ask your employer to specify that the role requires a bachelor's degree and describe how your Supply Chain work constitutes management consulting or engineering services.
Target employers with cross-border operations
Companies that already move goods between Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. understand USMCA and are familiar with TN sponsorship workflows. Manufacturers, third-party logistics providers, and retailers with North American distribution networks are practical targets for Supply Chain roles.
Search TN-eligible roles at employers with visa experience
Use Migrate Mate to find Supply Chain employers with recent visa filings who understand work visa sponsorship. Filtering by role and visa type saves time by surfacing companies already experienced with visa processes, rather than educating an unfamiliar recruiter from scratch.
Prepare for CBP scrutiny on consultant titles
CBP officers at Canadian ports of entry may question whether a Supply Chain Manager role truly fits the Management Consultant TN category. Bring a detailed duties letter, your diploma, and any professional certifications like APICS CSCP or CPSM to support your case.
Understand the Mexican TN visa process differs
Mexican nationals cannot self-petition at the border like Canadians. You'll apply through a U.S. consulate in Mexico and receive a TN visa stamp before entry. Schedule your consular appointment well in advance since wait times at high-volume posts can extend your start date.

Find Supply Chain JobsSupply Chain TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Supply Chain Manager role qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on how the role is categorized. Supply Chain Managers most often qualify under the TN Management Consultant category, which requires that the position involves objective, analytical work for a specific client engagement or organizational function. If the role is purely operational or supervisory without an advisory or analytical component, a CBP officer may question whether it fits. The offer letter language is critical.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Supply Chain professionals?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no employer-paid petition fee to USCIS. You can be approved the same day you enter the U.S. at a Canadian port of entry. H-1B requires winning a lottery held once a year and waiting months for approval. For Supply Chain roles that qualify under TN, most Canadian and Mexican professionals choose TN for its speed and predictability.
Can I use Migrate Mate to find Supply Chain jobs with TN sponsorship?
Yes. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles under the TN visa. You can search Supply Chain positions from employers who have already sponsored TN workers, which removes the friction of explaining the visa process to an employer encountering it for the first time.
What credentials do I need to bring when entering on a TN for a Supply Chain role?
You'll need your original university diploma or transcripts, the employer's offer letter describing your duties and confirming the role requires a degree in your field, and your Canadian or Mexican passport. Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or PMP can strengthen your file if your degree field is not a direct match for the stated TN category.
How long does TN status last for Supply Chain roles, and can I renew it?
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals, so you can stay in the U.S. indefinitely as long as you remain employed in a qualifying Supply Chain role. Canadians renew by re-entering at a port of entry with a new offer letter and supporting documents. Mexican nationals renew by returning to a U.S. consulate for a new visa stamp.
