Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Business Operations Associate
Frame your credentials around consulting deliverables
TN eligibility for operations roles hinges on demonstrating advisory work, not just execution. Structure your resume to show process analysis, recommendations delivered, and measurable improvements to organizational systems rather than task-based job duties.
Target employers with dedicated HR compliance teams
Mid-size and enterprise companies with in-house immigration or legal teams are far more likely to support TN filings without delays. Ask during screening whether the employer has sponsored TN visas before and who manages the process internally.
Request a support letter before your start date
The TN support letter from your employer must specify your role, duties, and that the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Canadian professionals can present this at the port of entry, so get it finalized before you cross.
Use Migrate Mate to find operations roles with TN history
Search Migrate Mate to filter Business Operations Associate jobs by employers who have actively sponsored TN visas. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with USMCA professional categories.
Verify your degree field maps to management consulting
CBP officers assess whether your academic background aligns with the Management Consultant category. Degrees in business administration, industrial engineering, or operations management strengthen your case. A degree in an unrelated field with a generic operations title raises questions.
Ensure your job offer matches TN role requirements
While TN sponsorship doesn't involve government filing requirements, employers increasingly include wage documentation to preempt CBP questions. Confirm your offer letter reflects a salary consistent with market rates for your role and work location before presenting it at the port of entry.

Find Business Operations Associate JobsBusiness Operations Associate TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Business Operations Associate role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
It can, but the classification isn't automatic. CBP evaluates whether the role functions as a Management Consultant under USMCA criteria. Positions focused on analyzing processes, recommending improvements, and advising leadership on operational decisions qualify more cleanly than roles limited to executing tasks or managing daily workflows without an advisory component.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Business Operations Associate jobs?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can get status approved at the border on your start date if your employer documentation is in order. H-1B requires registration in a randomized lottery held once per year. For Mexican citizens, TN has an annual allocation, but the process is still more predictable and faster than competing in the H-1B lottery.
What documentation does my employer need to prepare for my TN filing?
Your employer must provide a support letter on company letterhead that describes your job title, a summary of duties establishing advisory or analytical functions, your start date, and confirmation that a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Canadian citizens present this at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican citizens submit it as part of a consulate application package.
Where can I find Business Operations Associate jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for U.S. roles with TN visa sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see employers with a verified history of sponsoring USMCA professionals, which removes the guesswork of approaching companies unfamiliar with TN filings.
Can I switch employers on a TN visa if I find a better operations role?
Yes, but you need a new TN approval tied to the new employer before you start working there. Your current TN status doesn't transfer. Canadian citizens can get a new approval at the port of entry with the new employer's support letter. Mexican citizens must schedule a new consulate appointment, so factor that timeline into any job transition plan.
