Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Real Estate Manager
Align your credentials to TN categories
TN classification for Real Estate Manager roles typically ties to Management Consultant or related USMCA categories. Make sure your degree transcript specifies business administration, real estate, or finance so the connection between your education and role duties is immediate and unambiguous.
Target employers with multi-property portfolios
Commercial REITs, property management firms, and institutional investors regularly sponsor TN professionals to oversee U.S. assets. These employers already have HR processes built for cross-border hires, which shortens the time between offer and petition filing.
Search TN-ready listings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Real Estate Manager openings where sponsorship is already confirmed. Focusing on pre-vetted listings cuts the time you spend qualifying employers who don't understand TN mechanics for this role.
Request a support letter covering your asset scope
Your employer's TN support letter should specify the properties or portfolio value you'll manage, not just your job title. USCIS and CBP officers look for concrete evidence that the role meets the specialty occupation standard for managerial classification.
Clarify licensing requirements before your start date
Some U.S. states require a real estate broker or property manager license tied to local residency. Confirm whether your role requires licensure and whether your Canadian or Mexican credentials transfer, so the employer's petition reflects any interim arrangements accurately.
Understand the Mexican national TN cap at the border
Canadian citizens can request TN status directly at a port of entry without advance USCIS filing. Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate abroad. Factor this distinction into your timeline when negotiating your offer's start date with the employer.

Find Real Estate Manager JobsReal Estate Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Real Estate Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the position is framed around specialized management functions tied to a qualifying USMCA category such as Management Consultant. The role description must demonstrate that you're exercising specialized professional judgment over property operations or asset strategy, not performing general administrative tasks. Your supporting degree in business, real estate, or finance is what anchors the classification.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Real Estate Manager positions?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and no multi-month waiting period for approval. H-1B registration opens once a year and selection is random, meaning a qualified candidate can wait indefinitely. For Real Estate Manager roles, TN is a faster and more predictable path if the position fits a qualifying USMCA category and you hold a relevant degree.
Where can I find Real Estate Manager jobs that already offer TN sponsorship?
Migrate Mate filters listings specifically for employers who sponsor TN visas, so you're not spending time on roles where the hiring team will decline once they learn you need sponsorship. Searching there puts you directly in front of property management companies, REITs, and institutional real estate groups that have already committed to the TN process.
Can I switch Real Estate Manager employers while on TN status?
Yes, but TN status is employer-specific. When you accept a new offer, your new employer must file a fresh TN petition or you must appear at a port of entry to obtain a new TN approval before you begin working. Canadian citizens can handle this at the border in a single day. Mexican nationals need a new consular appointment, so factor that timeline into your transition.
What documents does my employer need to file a TN petition for this role?
Your employer needs a support letter on company letterhead describing the role, its management scope, your specific duties, and the USMCA category the position falls under. You'll need your degree transcripts, any professional credentials, and a valid Canadian or Mexican passport. USCIS reviews the combination of role description and credentials to confirm specialty occupation classification.
