INTRODUCTION
We are the first publicly-traded biotech or pharmaceutical company to take the form of a public benefit corporation. Our public benefit purpose is to provide a brighter future for patients through the development of novel pharmaceutical therapies and technologies that expand the availability of transplantable organs.
United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter’s pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF).
The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option.

Align your credentials to USMCA categories
Procurement Director roles file under Management Consultant, which requires a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field. Pull your transcripts and degree certificate before outreach so employers can confirm your TN eligibility on first contact.
Target companies with active cross-border supply chains
Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers with U.S.-Canada or U.S.-Mexico supply chains already understand USMCA and are more comfortable sponsoring TN petitions for procurement leadership than domestic-only companies unfamiliar with the treaty.
Search for TN sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by TN visa sponsorship willingness, so you're not cold-applying to employers who've never filed. Search by role and industry to find Procurement Director openings where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare a specialty occupation letter early
Your employer will need a support letter tying your Procurement Director duties to Management Consultant work under USMCA. Draft a detailed job duty outline before the offer stage so the letter can be finalized quickly once you have an offer.
Clarify your port-of-entry filing plan with the employer
Canadian citizens can file TN status directly at a U.S. land border or airport port of entry without a visa stamp. Align with your employer on timing before your start date so you're not scrambling on your first day.
Document strategic sourcing metrics for CBP review
CBP officers reviewing TN applications at the border may ask how your Procurement Director role requires professional-level judgment. Bring a one-page summary of your sourcing scope, contract values managed, and team leadership to substantiate the specialty occupation determination.

Find Procurement Director JobsProcurement Director TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Procurement Director role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, but the classification requires careful framing. Procurement Director roles qualify under the USMCA Management Consultant category, which means your employer's support letter must describe your duties in terms of strategic sourcing, supplier analysis, and procurement policy development rather than general management. Operational or purely supervisory roles can face scrutiny, so the job description matters.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Procurement Director positions?
TN is faster and more predictable for Canadians and Mexicans. There's no lottery, no annual cap for Canadian citizens, and Canadian applicants can be approved at a port of entry the same day. H-1B requires a lottery selection and typically takes months. For a Procurement Director with a qualifying USMCA credential, TN is the stronger near-term path.
Where can I find Procurement Director jobs that already offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Procurement Director roles where employers have confirmed TN visa sponsorship, so you're not sending applications into companies that have never navigated USMCA filings. Filtering by sponsorship status from the start saves weeks of back-and-forth with recruiters.
Do Mexican nationals face different TN sponsorship conditions than Canadians for this role?
Yes. Mexican nationals require a TN visa stamp issued at a U.S. consulate in Mexico before entering the United States, while Canadians can file at the port of entry. Mexican TN visas also fall under a limited annual allocation, so filing timelines and consular appointment availability are additional factors to plan around.
What documents does my employer need to file a TN petition for a Procurement Director?
Your employer needs a support letter on company letterhead describing your Management Consultant duties, your degree credentials, and confirmation that your role meets the specialty occupation standard under USMCA. You'll also provide your Canadian or Mexican passport and degree transcripts. For Mexican nationals, USCIS processes the Form I-129 petition before a consular appointment.
