Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel contract in an Ortho/Trauma Unit, requiring at least one year of RN experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Details
- Works in an Ortho/Trauma Unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Candidates with charge nurse experience are highly preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous travelers or workers who have completed a 26-week assignment at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract
- This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
