How do I get a ui ux designer job in Los Angeles?
The strongest entry point in Los Angeles is targeting Silicon Beach companies in Venice and Playa Vista, where entertainment tech, streaming, and consumer app employers cluster. A portfolio that shows mobile-first or interactive media projects resonates locally. Attending LA-based design meetups and connecting with creative directors at studios and agencies gives candidates a practical edge over remote applicants who rely on applications alone.
Which companies hire ui ux designers in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring ui ux designers in Los Angeles include Crunchyroll, Alo, and Suno, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles draws a mix of entertainment studios, direct-to-consumer brands, and growth-stage tech startups, all of which maintain active design teams.
Are there remote ui ux designer jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, and ui ux design is among the more remote-friendly disciplines in tech since core deliverables like wireframes, prototypes, and research reports transfer well to distributed workflows. About 11% of ui ux designer openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with research and interaction design roles leading the way. On-site expectations are highest at studios and agencies doing hands-on usability testing.
How can I get a ui ux designer job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is targeting junior or associate designer roles at mid-size e-commerce brands and digital agencies in Culver City and West Hollywood, which hire more frequently at the entry level than large studios. Contract and freelance work through local production companies can also build a portfolio quickly.
