Senior Interior Designer

Danni Harper Design is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead residential projects from initial concept through installation while balancing strong design instincts with organization, communication, and technical knowledge.

This role is ideal for a designer who is comfortable taking ownership of large-scale renovations and new builds, working closely with clients and trades, and collaborating with our internal design and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential projects from initial design concept through installation and completion
• Develop comprehensive design presentations including mood boards, material selections, elevations, space plans, FF&E selections, and schedules
• Source furniture, lighting, plumbing, materials, finishes, fixtures, and custom pieces
• Manage projects in their entirety, including budgets, timelines, selections, deliverables, and client expectations
• Prepare and review drawings, plans, specifications, elevations, and design details
• Oversee custom furnishings, millwork, construction details, fixture installation, and specialty trades
• Provide on-site management and oversight during the construction and installation phases of projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, vendors, fabricators, and the DHD team
• Work closely with the procurement and operations team to ensure selections are accurately specified and ordered
• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation
• Participate in installations, styling, and project photoshoots
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, trades, and team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working within a residential interior design studio
• Experience independently leading large-scale renovations and/or new construction projects
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and familiarity with architectural plans, sections, elevations, specifications, and construction details
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furnishings, lighting, plumbing, millwork, and custom fabrication
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Canva, and Google Workspace
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
• Confident and professional client communication skills
• Comfortable communicating directly with contractors, vendors, and trades
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Must be kind, positive, and comfortable working as part of a small team
• Must live in the Los Angeles area with a reliable car and valid driver’s license
