This is Edenspiekermann
We are Edenspiekermann - an independent design consultancy with 40+ years of experience helping world-leading organizations invent, build, and evolve their products. Our Product Strategy practice works directly with product teams at the intersection of market insight, design excellence, and AI-driven development.
Our interaction designers work in agile and interdisciplinary teams on websites and platforms for major brands as well as for startups. Our teams combine conceptual thinking, a sophisticated understanding of design and a deep knowledge of web and app development to develop a digital product or service with a user-centric approach. In doing so, we advise and coach our clients' teams to provide the best customer experience for their customers.
Description
We are looking for a talented, curious, hands-on Senior Product Designer with a strong interest in artificial intelligence to join our US design team in a permanent, full-time, remote-first role based in Southern California. You will work primarily from home and be available to travel to client sites across the United States as engagements require. You will conceptualize, design, and deliver digital products and experiences, combining excellent visual and interaction design with enthusiasm for how AI can enhance the creative process and the products we build.
You do not need to be an AI engineer or have all the answers. You should already be exploring AI tools, understand their possibilities and limitations, and be motivated to turn experimentation into useful design outcomes. You will collaborate with designers, strategists, researchers, developers, and clients on digital platforms, design systems, and AI-enabled experiences.
Your tasks
Product design and creative execution
Design intuitive, engaging digital products, websites, applications, and services.
Translate user needs, business goals, and technical requirements into thoughtful experiences.
Develop journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Create and evolve design systems, component libraries, and visual languages with accessibility and scalability in mind.
Contribute original concepts, collaborate with developers, and participate in research, testing, and iteration.
AI enabled design and innovation
Incorporate AI tools into research, ideation, prototyping, content creation, and production workflows.
Experiment with generative AI to expand creative possibilities and improve efficiency.
Conceptualize and prototype AI-enabled experiences, including conversational interfaces, intelligent assistants, personalized experiences, and adaptive interactions.
Explore how AI can solve real user problems, working with designers and developers to test feasibility.
Share effective AI workflows and evaluate outputs critically for quality, accessibility, privacy, reliability, and human oversight.
Collaboration and design leadership
Own assigned design workstreams from exploration through delivery.
Contribute to workshops and client presentations, clearly explaining design decisions.
Mentor less-experienced designers through collaboration and feedback.
Work independently, challenge assumptions constructively, and contribute to a low-ego, multidisciplinary team.
Your profile
Design experience and capabilities
Approximately 5–8 years in product design, digital design, UX/UI, or a related discipline.
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft, interaction design, systems thinking, and digital products.
Advanced Figma proficiency, including components, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
Understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, responsive design, and accessibility.
Experience taking products from concept through implementation with product and engineering teams.
Strong typography, composition, visual storytelling, and communication skills.
AI experience and mindset
Hands-on experience using generative AI in your design process.
Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Cursor, or comparable emerging tools.
Genuine curiosity about AI's impact on digital products, creativity, and human-computer interaction.
Interest in AI-generated content, conversational experiences, intelligent recommendations, and automated workflows.
Willingness to experiment, learn, share discoveries, and distinguish useful applications from hype.
You do not need expertise in every AI tool or extensive experience shipping AI products. We value initiative, experimentation, sound judgment, and an understanding of how AI complements strong design practice.
Personal qualities
Creative, curious, self-starting, collaborative, and receptive to feedback.
Comfortable with ambiguity, iteration, ownership, and hands-on design work.
Comfortable working across US and European teams.
Based in Southern California and available to travel to US client sites as engagements require.
We offer
A permanent, full-time, remote-first role with our US design team
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000, depending on experience and qualifications
A defined contribution toward medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus access to a healthcare FSA
A 401(k) plan with a 2% company match and eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus based on company performance
A flexible PTO policy, with time off coordinated around client and team commitments, plus eleven paid holidays, a year-end office closure, monthly internet and wellness stipends, and professional-development support
The opportunity to lead visible, strategically important product, design-system, and AI-enabled transformation engagements
An international portfolio and regular collaboration with colleagues across Europe and the United States
A high-craft, low-ego team with direct access to partners and senior leadership, real autonomy, constructive feedback, and space to shape how we work.
A multidisciplinary team that is actively building AI into design, strategy, research, engineering, and delivery.
We are pleased to meet you!
We welcome applicants regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion or beliefs, disability, age, sexual orientation, or identity.

Optional: Share a link to something you’ve built or prototyped with AI recently, with a few words about your contribution and how you used AI.

Senior Designer Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior designer job in Los Angeles?
Target the sectors that hire most heavily in Los Angeles: entertainment studios, streaming companies, gaming firms, and the brand-driven tech scene in Silicon Beach. Jobs concentrate in Culver City, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and downtown. A portfolio showing systems-level thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and work tied to recognizable consumer products or campaigns gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire senior designers in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles senior designer roles are posted by Riot Games, Alo, and FIGS and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. The local market includes a broad mix of entertainment studios, in-house brand teams at consumer companies, and product-focused tech employers headquartered across the Westside and downtown corridors.
Are there remote senior designer jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though it depends on the discipline. Senior designers in UX, digital product, and brand strategy work remotely more often than those in experiential, production, or set design. About 52% of senior designer openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of November 2026. Digital product and marketing design roles tend to be the most remote-friendly in the local market.
How can I get a senior designer job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through junior or mid-level designer roles at smaller Los Angeles production companies, boutique branding agencies, or in-house creative teams at consumer startups. Many candidates move into senior roles after building two to three years of project ownership at these employers. Volunteering for entertainment industry events, contributing to local design community groups, and developing a portfolio with end-to-end case studies accelerates that progression.
Which industries hire the most senior designers in Los Angeles?
The sectors hiring the most senior designers in Los Angeles are Technology & Software, Insurance, and Fashion & Apparel, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Los Angeles's concentration of entertainment studios, streaming platforms, and consumer brand headquarters makes it one of the most design-intensive job markets in the country, sustaining consistent demand across both in-house and agency roles.
