JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Design & Development of mechanical components and release engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) using Engineering Change Management to support manufacturing.
- Create 3D electrical and pneumatical harness routing using CAD packages.
- Develop multi-CAD layouts for Lam products and manage larger 3D assemblies.
- Highly skilled in 3D CAD modeling tools such as Siemens NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and others.
- Proficiency in concept design and development for mechanical components or sub-systems.
- Knowledge in creating drawings for sheet metal and machined parts.
- Experience with metal machining and sheet metal fabrication and casting processes.
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering, engineering/design methods and processes, and engineering drawing.
- Solid knowledge on welding symbols, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, surface finish, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) drafting standards.
- Originate and design mechanical parts and subassemblies and create layouts to support product design and technology development.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance performance while reducing cost.
- Participate in cross-functional teams with product engineering, program management, manufacturing, field service, and supply chain to define specifications and complete the full design cycle.
- Create production drawings, develop precise CAD assemblies, and conduct design reviews in support of design efforts.
