JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re now building a new AI Agent Platform to supercharge this mission — creating intelligent, autonomous systems that proactively surface insights, act on risk events, and continuously learn from billions of signals across our data engine. We’re looking for engineers who think fast, prototype faster, and love solving open-ended problems at the intersection of AI, full-stack development, and risk intelligence.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build full-stack systems powering Oscilar’s next-gen AI agents — from backend APIs and data pipelines to fast, interactive frontends.
- Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and Python for high-scale, event-driven processing of risk signals and fraud patterns.
- Experiment with agentic frameworks, LLM-driven automation, and reasoning systems to address fraud, risk scoring, and AML-related challenges.
- Collaborate directly with founders and product leaders to shape the architecture and roadmap of our agentic platform.
- Move fast — ship MVPs, test hypotheses with production data, and iterate weekly.
- Apply practical AI — using GenAI, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines for data storytelling, graph reasoning, and case automation.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or Backend Engineer (TypeScript, Python, React, Node, or similar).
- Proven ability to take products from zero to one in fast-moving environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and cloud-native architectures (AWS / Kubernetes / modern CI/CD).
- Curiosity and hacker mentality — you learn new tools quickly and aren’t afraid to dive deep.
- Bonus: Experience with AWS Bedrock for building and scaling generative AI applications.
- Bonus: experience with LLM frameworks (LangGraph, Guardrails, LangChain, etc.) or building multi-agent or autonomous workflows.
- Bonus: background in financial risk, real-time decisioning, or fraud detection systems.
BENEFITS
- Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401k
- Flexibility: Remote-first culture — work from anywhere
- Health: 100% Employer covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with a top tier plan for you and your dependents (US)
- Balance: Unlimited PTO policy
- Technical: AI First company; both Co-Founders are engineers at heart; and over 50% of the company is Engineering and Product
- Culture: Family-Friendly environment; Regular team events and offsites
- Development: Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities
- Impact: Making the internet safer by protecting online transactions

Which companies sponsor visas for senior full stack engineers in California?
Large tech employers including Google, Meta, Apple, Salesforce, Adobe, and Stripe have consistent track records of sponsoring H-1B visas for senior full stack engineers in California. Mid-size and growth-stage companies in the Bay Area and Los Angeles also sponsor regularly, particularly those backed by venture capital and competing for specialized engineering talent with experience across both front-end and back-end systems.
Which visa types are most common for senior full stack engineer roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior full stack engineers in California, as these roles typically meet the specialty occupation requirement through their degree and technical complexity. Engineers with exceptional track records in open source, publications, or industry recognition may qualify for the O-1A. Canadians and Mexicans may also be eligible for the TN visa under the engineer category, which bypasses the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in California have the most senior full stack engineer sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale, accounts for the largest share of senior full stack engineer sponsorship activity in California. Los Angeles is a growing hub, particularly in fintech, media tech, and e-commerce. San Diego has a smaller but active market driven by biotech software, defense contractors, and a cluster of mid-size SaaS companies near the UC San Diego corridor.
How to find senior full stack engineer visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a history of visa sponsorship, making it practical to search for senior full stack engineer positions in California without sifting through postings that don't support work authorization. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings. Because sponsorship willingness isn't always stated in job ads, using a platform built around verified sponsorship patterns saves significant time.
Are there any California-specific considerations for senior full stack engineers seeking sponsorship?
California's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are set at the regional level, and the San Francisco Bay Area consistently falls into the highest wage tiers due to local labor market data. This means employers sponsoring senior full stack engineers in the Bay Area are required to meet elevated minimum wage thresholds compared to other states. California also has strong worker protection laws that can affect how employment terms are structured in sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior full stack engineer jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
