The Role
We're looking for a fullstack engineer to build the product our customers use to configure, monitor, and interact with their AI agents. You'll own features end-to-end: from the APIs and data models to the interfaces customers use to manage their agents and understand performance.
This is a product engineering role. You'll work closely with design and product to ship features that customers actually use, iterating based on feedback and usage data. You'll need to balance polish with speed; we're a startup, so we ship fast, but the product still needs to feel good.
What You'll Work On
A few examples from our current roadmap:
Agent configuration: Building the APIs and interfaces that let customers set up and customize their agents without writing code
Analytics dashboards: Creating the data pipelines and visualizations that help customers understand how their agents are performing
Conversation interfaces: Designing how users interact with and review agent conversations, including the backend systems that store and retrieve conversation data
Onboarding: Taking customer conversations, policies, and API documents, and automatically translating that into a highly-effective personalized agent
As a senior fullstack engineer, you'll own features end-to-end, from database schema and API design through frontend implementation. You'll make decisions about system architecture, data modeling, and how to structure the codebase as it grows.
Tech Stack
Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js
Infrastructure: AWS, Modal, Kubernetes, Postgres
Backend: Python (Django/FastAPI), TypeScript (Node.js)
You Might Be a Fit If You
Have 4+ years of fullstack engineering experience building user-facing products
Are strong in both frontend (TypeScript, React) and backend (Python or similar), with opinions about how to structure a codebase
Have good product instincts—you can take a rough design and fill in the gaps, or push back when something doesn't make sense
Care about the details that make a product feel polished, but know when to ship
Are comfortable working across the entire stack, from database queries to delightful UI
Want to own features, not just implement specs handed to you
Are excited about building tools that help people work with AI
Perks & Benefits
Catered lunch daily
Dinner stipend
$150/month wellness benefit (gym, fitness classes, mental health)
401(k) plan
Paid parental leave (12 weeks maternal, 6 weeks paternal)
Commuter benefits
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
Giga is an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Which companies sponsor visas for senior full stack engineers in California?
Large tech employers including Google, Meta, Apple, Salesforce, Adobe, and Stripe have consistent track records of sponsoring H-1B visas for senior full stack engineers in California. Mid-size and growth-stage companies in the Bay Area and Los Angeles also sponsor regularly, particularly those backed by venture capital and competing for specialized engineering talent with experience across both front-end and back-end systems.
Which visa types are most common for senior full stack engineer roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior full stack engineers in California, as these roles typically meet the specialty occupation requirement through their degree and technical complexity. Engineers with exceptional track records in open source, publications, or industry recognition may qualify for the O-1A. Canadians and Mexicans may also be eligible for the TN visa under the engineer category, which bypasses the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in California have the most senior full stack engineer sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale, accounts for the largest share of senior full stack engineer sponsorship activity in California. Los Angeles is a growing hub, particularly in fintech, media tech, and e-commerce. San Diego has a smaller but active market driven by biotech software, defense contractors, and a cluster of mid-size SaaS companies near the UC San Diego corridor.
How to find senior full stack engineer visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a history of visa sponsorship, making it practical to search for senior full stack engineer positions in California without sifting through postings that don't support work authorization. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings. Because sponsorship willingness isn't always stated in job ads, using a platform built around verified sponsorship patterns saves significant time.
Are there any California-specific considerations for senior full stack engineers seeking sponsorship?
California's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are set at the regional level, and the San Francisco Bay Area consistently falls into the highest wage tiers due to local labor market data. This means employers sponsoring senior full stack engineers in the Bay Area are required to meet elevated minimum wage thresholds compared to other states. California also has strong worker protection laws that can affect how employment terms are structured in sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior full stack engineer jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
