Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Delaware
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation
H-1B1 Chile requires a degree in a directly related specialty field, not just any bachelor's degree. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation's standard educational requirements before applying, so your credentials match what the employer must certify on the LCA.
Target Delaware's Route 141 pharma corridor
The stretch running through Newark and Wilmington houses major pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers with established LCA filing histories. Prioritize employers in this corridor since they already have compliant H-1B1 Chile processes and dedicated immigration counsel in place.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by H-1B1 Chile and Delaware on Migrate Mate to see employers with confirmed DOL Labor Condition Application filing history. This narrows your outreach to companies that have sponsored Chilean nationals before, cutting out employers unfamiliar with the visa category.
Confirm your employer filed a certified LCA
Unlike H-1B visa, the H-1B1 Chile LCA must be certified by DOL before your visa application. Ask the hiring team to confirm LCA certification is complete before scheduling your consular appointment, since the approved LCA is a required document at the interview.

Which industries in Delaware sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing, financial services, and engineering services lead H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Delaware. The Wilmington area concentrates financial and legal compliance roles, while the Newark and Route 141 corridor is the hub for life sciences and specialty chemistry positions that regularly require Chilean nationals in specialty occupation roles.
Which cities in Delaware have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the largest share of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Delaware, driven by its dense financial services and corporate headquarters cluster. Newark is the second-strongest market, anchored by pharmaceutical and biotech employers near the University of Delaware. Dover has a smaller but active government-adjacent engineering and IT sector worth targeting.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Delaware?
Roles that qualify must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Delaware, this commonly covers chemical engineers, financial analysts, compliance officers, software developers, and research scientists. General management or administrative roles without a degree-to-job-field match typically do not qualify.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile jobs in Delaware?
Search on Migrate Mate using the H-1B1 Chile filter alongside the Delaware location filter. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified DOL LCA filing history, so you can identify Delaware companies that have actively sponsored Chilean nationals rather than cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with the H-1B1 Chile process. Follow up directly with the employer's immigration or HR team to confirm current sponsorship availability.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
