Which companies sponsor visas for data analytics engineers in Florida?
Florida-based companies with documented H-1B sponsorship for data and analytics roles include Chewy (Dania Beach), Tech Data (Clearwater), Citigroup's Tampa operations, NextEra Energy (Juno Beach), and AdventHealth. Miami's fintech corridor, including companies like Kaseya and Totem, also hires analytics engineers and has sponsored international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for data analytics engineer roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data analytics engineers in Florida, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, Canadians and Mexicans for TN status, and highly accomplished individuals may qualify for the O-1A.
Which cities in Florida have the most data analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads for data analytics engineering roles, driven by its fintech, e-commerce, and international business sectors. Tampa is a strong second, with concentration in financial services, healthcare, and logistics analytics. Orlando has growing demand tied to hospitality technology, defense contracting, and university research partnerships, particularly through the University of Central Florida's analytics programs.
How to find data analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate lists data analytics engineer positions in Florida filtered specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship. You can search by city, filter by visa type, and see relevant role details without sorting through listings that won't support international candidates. Migrate Mate is built for international job seekers, so every listing reflects sponsorship-relevant context.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for data analytics engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons between Florida-based offers and those in states like California or New York. Employers filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metro area, so Miami LCA wages differ from Tampa or Orlando. Florida's tech workforce pipeline is also supported by University of Florida and Florida International University graduate programs, which feed local analytics hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analytics engineer jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
