Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain associates in Kansas?
Companies with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in Kansas supply chain roles include Koch Industries and its subsidiaries, Cargill's grain and protein operations, Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, and Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. Mid-sized logistics and distribution firms in the Kansas City metro also file Labor Condition Applications for supply chain positions, though sponsorship frequency varies by employer and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain associate roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain associates in Kansas, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations management. Candidates from Canada and Mexico may qualify under TN visa status using the Industrial Engineer or Management Consultant categories depending on job duties. F-1 OPT holders are also commonly employed before a formal sponsorship petition is filed.
Which cities in Kansas have the most supply chain associate sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, spanning both Kansas and Missouri, generates the most supply chain associate postings in the state, driven by its role as a major freight and distribution hub. Wichita follows, supported by aerospace manufacturing supply chains at companies like Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation. Topeka and Lawrence see smaller but steady hiring activity through state-linked distribution and manufacturing operations.
How to find supply chain associate visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and it filters supply chain associate roles by state, including Kansas. Rather than sorting through general job postings that rarely mention sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers with verified sponsorship histories. Searching by role and filtering to Kansas gives you a direct view of active opportunities without the guesswork around which employers will actually sponsor.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for supply chain associates seeking visa sponsorship?
Kansas supply chain roles connected to aerospace, agribusiness, and food processing tend to require specialized knowledge, which can strengthen the case that a position qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards. Kansas also has a pipeline of supply chain graduates from Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, which means some employers already have experience navigating the sponsorship process. Prevailing wage requirements still apply and are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain associate jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
