Which companies sponsor visas for service supervisors in Michigan?
Michigan's largest visa sponsors for service supervisor roles include Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Stellantis, Henry Ford Health System, Beaumont Health, and major hotel groups operating in the Detroit metro area. Automotive suppliers like Magna International and BorgWarner also sponsor supervisory positions. These employers have established HR and legal infrastructure for H-1B and other visa filings, making them more reliable sponsors than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for service supervisor roles in Michigan?
H-1B is the most common visa category for service supervisor positions that require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as operations management, engineering, or hospitality management. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are relevant for supervisors moving from a foreign affiliate of a Michigan-based multinational, particularly in the automotive sector.
Which cities in Michigan have the most service supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its surrounding suburbs, including Dearborn, Troy, and Auburn Hills, account for the largest share of service supervisor sponsorship activity, driven by automotive and healthcare employers. Grand Rapids is a growing hub for manufacturing and logistics supervisory roles. Ann Arbor attracts sponsorship through the University of Michigan health system and its affiliated research and technology employers.
How to find service supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search service supervisor roles in Michigan without sifting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions from automotive manufacturers, healthcare networks, and hospitality groups across Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor. Filtering by location and role type on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to identify Michigan employers actively open to sponsoring international candidates.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect sponsorship for service supervisors in Michigan?
Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity publishes prevailing wage data that employers must meet when filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications for supervisory roles. The automotive industry's concentration in southeast Michigan means many sponsoring employers expect familiarity with manufacturing or supply chain environments. University of Michigan and Michigan State alumni pipelines also create OPT-to-H-1B pathways for service supervisors entering healthcare and technology sectors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service supervisor jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
