Which companies sponsor visas for accountants in New Hampshire?
Employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for accounting roles in New Hampshire include Dartmouth Health, BAE Systems, and regional public accounting firms operating out of Manchester and Nashua. Large national firms with New Hampshire offices, including Deloitte and RSM, have also sponsored accounting positions. Corporate finance teams at manufacturers and insurance companies in the state are additional sources of sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for accountant roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accountants in New Hampshire, as accounting qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA, which lists accountants as an eligible profession. Australians holding an E-3 visa and those with O-1 visa credentials in specialized finance roles represent smaller but viable pathways.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most accountant sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is New Hampshire's largest city and its primary hub for accounting employment, hosting corporate headquarters, healthcare organizations, and regional CPA firms. Nashua follows closely, driven by its technology and manufacturing sectors that maintain substantial finance and accounting teams. Concord, as the state capital, offers opportunities through government contractors and financial institutions. Portsmouth has a smaller but active professional services market worth considering.
How to find accountant visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, letting you search accountant roles in New Hampshire without manually screening hundreds of postings. The platform surfaces employers who have an active history of sponsoring international hires in accounting, which saves significant time during your search. Focusing your search on Manchester and Nashua within Migrate Mate will surface the highest volume of relevant openings in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for accountants seeking visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which can make total compensation comparisons with neighboring states more straightforward to evaluate. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific accounting role and location as determined by the Department of Labor, and New Hampshire wages are generally benchmarked below Boston-area rates. CPA licensure in New Hampshire requires 150 credit hours, which international candidates should factor into long-term career planning.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accountant jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
