Which companies sponsor visas for data science engineers in New Hampshire?
Defense and aerospace contractors like BAE Systems and Raytheon Technologies, financial services firms including Fidelity Investments and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and healthcare IT companies operating in the Manchester-Nashua corridor have all filed Labor Condition Applications for data science and data engineering roles. Larger employers with established HR and legal infrastructure are generally more likely to support H-1B sponsorship than smaller startups.
Which visa types are most common for data science engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT work authorization can work for a sponsoring employer before an H-1B petition is filed. The O-1A is an option for applicants with documented extraordinary achievement in the field.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most data science engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of data science engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire, driven by their concentration of financial services, defense, and healthcare employers. Bedford and Portsmouth also see demand, particularly from technology and government contracting firms. The I-93 and Route 3 corridors connecting these cities to the Greater Boston metro area make southern New Hampshire the primary hiring zone for this role.
How to find data science engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data science engineer roles in New Hampshire by visa sponsorship status, so you are not sorting through listings from employers who do not sponsor. You can search by role, state, and visa type to surface relevant opportunities from employers with a history of filing H-1B petitions for technical positions in this state.
Are there university or research pipelines that feed data science engineer hiring in New Hampshire?
Dartmouth College in Hanover produces graduate-level talent in computer science and data science, and some employers in New Hampshire recruit directly from its programs. The University of New Hampshire also offers relevant graduate programs. Employers familiar with OPT hiring at these institutions tend to have existing frameworks for transitioning strong candidates into H-1B sponsorship, making university-adjacent employers worth targeting in your search.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
