Which companies sponsor visas for consulting analysts in New York?
The largest sponsors of consulting analyst roles in New York include Deloitte, PwC, McKinsey & Company, Accenture, KPMG, and Boston Consulting Group. These firms have dedicated immigration support teams and sponsor H-1B petitions regularly for analysts in their New York offices. Smaller boutique consulting firms also sponsor, though less frequently and typically on a case-by-case basis.
Which visa types are most common for consulting analyst roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for consulting analyst roles in New York, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or engineering. Some analysts from Canada or Mexico may enter on TN visas under the management consultant category. Australian nationals may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery requirement.
Which cities in New York have the most consulting analyst sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan, particularly Midtown and the Financial District, accounts for the vast majority of consulting analyst sponsorship activity in New York State. Most major consulting firms maintain their primary New York operations there. Buffalo and Albany have a smaller number of opportunities tied to state government advisory work and regional consulting practices, but the sponsorship concentration is overwhelmingly in New York City.
How to find consulting analyst visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters consulting analyst jobs in New York specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search without sorting through roles that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings at firms with active sponsorship programs in the state. Pairing Migrate Mate with direct applications to the large consulting firms' career portals gives you the broadest coverage of sponsored consulting analyst roles in New York.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for consulting analyst visa sponsorship?
New York's high cost of living means prevailing wage requirements for consulting analyst H-1B petitions are set at elevated levels compared to most other states, which can affect which firms are willing to sponsor. The city's dense consulting market also means strong competition among candidates. New York universities including Columbia, NYU, and Cornell supply a significant pipeline of OPT-eligible consulting analysts that many firms have established processes to support into H-1B status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consulting analyst jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
