Which companies sponsor visas for senior solution architects in New York?
Financial services firms, global consultancies, and enterprise technology companies are among the most active H-1B sponsors for senior solution architect roles in New York. JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, IBM, Accenture, Cognizant, and Infosys have consistent histories of sponsoring this role. Cloud platform vendors with New York offices, including Google and Microsoft, also file regularly for senior-level architecture positions.
Which visa types are most common for senior solution architect roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior solution architects in New York, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. L-1A and L-1B transfers are also used when candidates are moving from an overseas office of a multinational employer. O-1A petitions occasionally apply for candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement.
Which cities in New York have the most senior solution architect sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan concentrates the vast majority of senior solution architect sponsorship activity in New York, driven by its density of financial institutions, consulting firms, and enterprise clients. Buffalo and Rochester have smaller but active markets tied to healthcare technology and manufacturing IT. Albany sees sponsorship from state government contractors and healthcare networks. Remote arrangements headquartered in New York City also factor into the overall count.
How to find senior solution architect visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter senior solution architect roles by state, so you can browse New York listings from employers actively open to sponsoring. The platform focuses exclusively on sponsorship-willing employers, which removes the uncertainty of applying to roles where visa support is unclear. Filtering by New York surfaces both Manhattan-based enterprise roles and positions at regional employers across the state.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for senior solution architect sponsorship?
New York's high concentration of financial services employers means many senior solution architect roles sit within regulated industries, which can affect how employers structure job duties and degree requirements for H-1B purposes. The state's prevailing wage levels for this occupation are among the highest in the country, reflecting the cost of the metro market, and employers must certify compliance with those wages through the Labor Condition Application process before sponsoring a candidate.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior solution architect jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
