An Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, factories, or large facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and workplace regulations.
- Coordinate with other technicians, engineers, and production teams for system upgrades or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Operate and maintain automated machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician.
