Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Job Summary:
An Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, factories, or large facilities. The role ensures that machinery and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and workplace regulations.
- Coordinate with other technicians, engineers, and production teams for system upgrades or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Operate and maintain automated machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician.
