Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for data analytics engineers?
Energy sector employers including Williams Companies, ONEOK, and Devon Energy in Tulsa and Oklahoma City have filed H-1B petitions for data and analytics roles in recent years. Healthcare organizations like INTEGRIS Health and HCA Healthcare's Oklahoma facilities, along with aerospace and defense contractors, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for technical roles requiring specialized analytical skills.
Which visa types are most common for data analytics engineer roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data analytics engineers in Oklahoma, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN status under the USMCA. Australians can explore the E-3 visa. L-1B transfers apply for engineers moving from an overseas office of a U.S. employer.
How to find data analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, so you can search data analytics engineer roles in Oklahoma without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates, letting you narrow results by state and role type. Checking employer H-1B disclosure data alongside Migrate Mate listings gives you a clearer picture of which Oklahoma companies have a genuine history of sponsoring technical hires.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most data analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Tulsa and Oklahoma City account for the large majority of data analytics engineer opportunities in the state. Tulsa's concentration of energy companies creates consistent demand for engineers who can work with operational and financial data pipelines. Oklahoma City offers a broader mix of employers across healthcare, government contracting, and financial services. Smaller markets like Stillwater and Norman occasionally have openings tied to university research institutions and regional corporate offices.
Are there any Oklahoma-specific factors data analytics engineers should know before pursuing sponsorship?
Oklahoma's energy industry drives a meaningful share of data analytics demand, so familiarity with energy trading, production data, or pipeline operations can strengthen your candidacy with Tulsa-based sponsors. The state's cost of living affects prevailing wage calculations, which are set by the Department of Labor and determine the minimum salary an H-1B employer must pay. University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University both produce analytics talent, so competition from local graduates is a factor employers consider alongside sponsorship costs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analytics engineer jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
