Which industries in South Carolina sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Advanced manufacturing, automotive, and engineering services sponsor the largest share of H-1B1 Chile visas in South Carolina. The Greenville-Spartanburg corridor drives most activity, with Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers regularly filing Labor Condition Applications for Chilean nationals in engineering and technical roles. Life sciences and IT firms in the Charleston metro represent a growing secondary cluster.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg together form the state's most active sponsorship market, anchored by automotive and advanced manufacturing employers with established international hiring programs. Charleston is the second-strongest metro, particularly for life sciences, software, and logistics roles. Columbia, as the state capital, has consistent demand in IT, healthcare administration, and government contracting for H-1B1 Chile-eligible professionals.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in South Carolina?
Roles that qualify must be specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, as defined by USCIS. In South Carolina, qualifying positions commonly include mechanical and industrial engineering, software development, financial analysis, quality assurance, and clinical research. Generalist or management roles that accept any degree field typically do not meet the H-1B1 Chile specialty occupation standard.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by visa type and state, surfacing South Carolina employers who have filed H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Applications through DOL. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored Chilean nationals. Pair Migrate Mate searches with direct outreach to engineering and manufacturing firms in the Greenville-Spartanburg and Charleston metros for the strongest results.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
