Which sports companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in South Carolina?
South Carolina's sports industry sponsors H-1B1 Chile visas across several employer types: major university athletics departments such as those at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University, professional minor-league sports franchises, large resort and golf management companies along the coast, and national sports retail or fitness chains with regional offices. Sponsorship is concentrated among organizations large enough to manage LCA filings with the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most sports H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Columbia leads due to its concentration of university athletics programs and sports administration offices tied to the University of South Carolina. Greenville has a growing sports and recreation presence linked to its minor-league baseball franchise and expanding fitness industry. Charleston offers opportunities through golf resort management, collegiate athletics at the College of Charleston, and coastal recreation companies. Myrtle Beach also draws sports-adjacent employers in golf and hospitality.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
H-1B1 visa Chile sponsorship requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In sports, qualifying roles typically include athletic trainers with clinical credentials, sports scientists, biomechanists, exercise physiologists, sports psychologists, strength and conditioning specialists with advanced degrees, sports analytics professionals, and sports business or marketing managers. General coaching or facility attendant roles rarely meet the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find sports H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in South Carolina's sports industry, filtering employers by their verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history so you can see which organizations have sponsored this visa category before. Searching on Migrate Mate lets you narrow results by state, visa type, and industry, giving you a targeted list of South Carolina sports employers with a demonstrated record of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship rather than broad, unfiltered job listings.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in South Carolina sports?
South Carolina does not impose additional state-level licensing burdens on the H-1B1 Chile category itself, but sports professionals in regulated occupations such as athletic training or physical therapy must obtain the relevant South Carolina state license before beginning work. Employers in South Carolina's sports sector, especially university programs, must still file a certified LCA establishing that the offered position meets prevailing wage requirements as determined by the OFLC Wage Search tool before the visa application can proceed.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile sports jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
