Which companies sponsor visas for AI architects in Texas?
Several large Texas-based employers have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for AI and machine learning architecture roles. Dell Technologies and NXP Semiconductors in Austin, AT&T and Texas Instruments in Dallas, and ExxonMobil and HP Enterprise in Houston have all filed Labor Condition Applications for AI-related positions. Major tech firms with large Texas offices, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, also sponsor AI architects through their regional hubs.
Which visa types are most common for AI architect roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for AI architects in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field. Some candidates also enter through the L-1B intracompany transfer visa when moving from an international office. Australian citizens working in AI architecture may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed separately from the H-1B cap.
Which cities in Texas have the most AI architect sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for AI architect sponsorship activity, driven by a concentration of tech companies and startups alongside the University of Texas talent pipeline. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong demand from financial services firms, telecom companies like AT&T, and enterprise software providers. Houston is an emerging hub for AI roles in energy and healthcare, particularly as companies in the oil and gas sector invest in AI-driven operations and predictive analytics.
How to find ai architect visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters AI architect roles by state, including Texas. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces positions where employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, saving significant research time. Searching AI architect roles in Texas on Migrate Mate lets you focus on Austin, Dallas, and Houston employers who are actively hiring and open to sponsorship.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for AI architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects the prevailing wage calculation context employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications, though the federal DOL sets the actual wage floors based on the role and metro area. The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M produce a significant share of the local AI talent pipeline, meaning employers are accustomed to hiring international graduates on OPT who then require H-1B sponsorship. AI architects with experience in energy sector applications may find particularly strong demand in the Houston market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ai architect jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
