Which companies sponsor visas for delivery drivers in Texas?
Large national carriers and logistics companies are the most likely sponsors for delivery driver roles in Texas. Amazon Logistics, FedEx, UPS, and XPO Logistics have substantial Texas operations and established HR infrastructure capable of supporting visa petitions. Smaller regional courier companies rarely sponsor. Sponsorship is not standard practice for this role, so checking each employer's active petition history is worthwhile before applying.
Which visa types are most common for delivery driver roles in Texas?
The H-2B visa is the most relevant nonimmigrant category for delivery driver roles, as it covers temporary non-agricultural workers in positions where U.S. workers are in short supply. The H-1B visa does not apply since delivery driving is not a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree. Some drivers employed by large logistics firms may also work under TN visa status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories.
How to find delivery driver visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find delivery driver visa sponsorship jobs in Texas. The platform filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, so you can browse Texas-based delivery driver openings from employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to manually screening job postings from carriers like Amazon, FedEx, or regional freight operators across Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio.
Which cities in Texas have the most delivery driver sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston are the strongest markets for delivery driver jobs in Texas, driven by dense population, major port activity at the Port of Houston, and large fulfillment center concentrations. San Antonio and Austin are growing logistics corridors with increasing warehouse and last-mile delivery infrastructure. Employers with the most active hiring tend to cluster around major interstates, including I-35, I-45, and I-10.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for delivery driver visa sponsorship?
Texas follows federal prevailing wage standards for H-2B visa workers, set by the Department of Labor for each metro area. Employers sponsoring delivery drivers must demonstrate that qualified U.S. workers are unavailable for the role before a petition is approved. Texas's size means prevailing wages can differ meaningfully between Houston, Dallas, and smaller markets. Drivers should also be aware that commercial driver's license requirements vary by vehicle class and load type under Texas state law.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored delivery driver jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
