Which companies sponsor visas for senior fullstack software engineers in Texas?
Large technology employers with established Texas presences, including Dell Technologies, Oracle, Amazon, and Google, regularly sponsor senior fullstack software engineers. Texas-based fintech companies like Bumble, OwnBackup, and numerous enterprise SaaS firms also have consistent sponsorship histories. Consulting firms such as Deloitte and Accenture, which maintain significant engineering operations in Dallas and Austin, are also active sponsors for senior-level fullstack roles.
Which visa types are most common for senior fullstack software engineer roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for senior fullstack software engineers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a related bachelor's degree or higher. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications with the Department of Labor must attest to paying the prevailing wage for the Austin, Dallas, or Houston metro area where the role is based. The O-1A is an option for engineers with demonstrated extraordinary ability and significant industry recognition.
Which cities in Texas have the most senior fullstack software engineer sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads in volume due to its concentration of tech companies, startups, and engineering offices for firms like Apple, Meta, and Tesla. Dallas and the broader DFW metro is home to major enterprise technology employers and financial services firms with large engineering teams. Houston has a growing tech sector, particularly in energy technology and health IT, where senior fullstack roles with sponsorship are increasingly common.
How to find senior fullstack software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international engineers searching for visa-sponsored roles and filters listings to show only employers with active sponsorship history. For senior fullstack software engineer roles in Texas, you can filter by state and job title on Migrate Mate to surface relevant openings across Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data can also confirm which Texas employers have filed recent sponsorship applications for fullstack engineering positions.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for senior fullstack engineers in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which influences how employers set compensation benchmarks and may affect how prevailing wage determinations compare to other tech hubs. The strong pipeline from University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, and UT Dallas produces significant local engineering talent, but demand consistently outpaces supply at the senior level, which sustains employer willingness to sponsor. Texas also hosts a high density of H-1B-dependent employers in consulting and IT services, which are subject to additional attestation requirements under federal law.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior fullstack software engineer jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
