Which companies sponsor visas for AI product engineers in Utah?
Adobe, Qualtrics, and Podium are among the larger Utah employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for technical roles that overlap with AI product engineering. The Silicon Slopes area in Lehi and Draper also hosts a concentration of growth-stage AI and SaaS companies that sponsor international engineers, though sponsorship practices vary by company size, hiring cycle, and role specifics.
Which visa types are most common for AI product engineer roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for AI product engineers in Utah, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also qualify under the TN visa. Those with extraordinary ability credentials may explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documented achievement.
Which cities in Utah have the most AI product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and Lehi account for the majority of AI product engineer sponsorship opportunities in Utah. Lehi's Silicon Slopes corridor has the highest concentration of tech employers, including several with active H-1B filing histories. Draper and Provo also have meaningful tech hiring activity, partly driven by proximity to Brigham Young University and the University of Utah's engineering programs.
How to find ai product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify AI product engineer roles in Utah where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Because sponsorship is not always advertised in standard job postings, using a platform built around sponsorship data, like Migrate Mate, saves significant time compared to screening general listings manually.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for AI product engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations apply to H-1B positions, so employers must offer wages that meet the applicable wage level for AI product engineer roles in the Salt Lake City or Provo metro areas. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University both produce strong computer science pipelines, meaning local employers are accustomed to sponsoring early-career international engineers, though each employer's sponsorship capacity still depends on their individual USCIS filing history.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ai product engineer jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
