Leverage Utah's strong life sciences and biotech cluster
The Salt Lake City metro has a growing life sciences industry with companies actively hiring international students for research, data, and laboratory roles. These positions often fit CPT eligibility criteria well if they relate directly to your field of study.

Are there any Utah-specific considerations for F-1 CPT sponsorship I should know about?
Utah has a relatively employer-friendly environment for CPT given the density of tech companies in Silicon Slopes that actively recruit from local universities. However, CPT rules are federal, not state-specific, so authorization requirements are the same everywhere in the U.S. One practical consideration is that many Utah employers, especially startups, may need guidance from your DSO about what CPT authorization entails, so being prepared to explain the process is helpful.
