Which companies sponsor visas for UX product designers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Adobe are among the most active H-1B sponsors for UX product designer roles in Washington, based on Department of Labor LCA disclosure data. Expedia, Zillow, Tableau, and T-Mobile also appear regularly in sponsorship filings. Larger tech companies with established immigration programs are generally more likely to sponsor than startups or smaller agencies.
Which visa types are most common for UX product designer roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for UX product designers in Washington. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as human-computer interaction, industrial design, or computer science. Candidates with extraordinary ability may also qualify for the O-1A. Australian citizens have access to the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B.
Which cities in Washington have the most UX product designer sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the vast majority of UX product designer sponsorship jobs in Washington. Seattle's South Lake Union and Capitol Hill neighborhoods host major tech campuses, while Bellevue's Eastside corridor is home to Microsoft and a growing cluster of enterprise software firms. Redmond, Kirkland, and Bothell have a smaller but consistent presence of sponsoring employers.
How to find ux product designer visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate lets you filter UX product designer roles in Washington by visa sponsorship availability, so you're only seeing employers who are open to sponsoring. Because Washington's tech sector is large, competition for sponsored roles is real, and filtering by sponsorship upfront saves significant time. Migrate Mate pulls from verified employer sponsorship history to surface the most relevant opportunities for international candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for UX product designers seeking sponsorship in Washington?
Washington's tech concentration means H-1B prevailing wage requirements are set against a competitive local market, so employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet wage levels benchmarked to the Seattle-Bellevue metro area. University programs at the University of Washington, which has a well-regarded Human Centered Design and Engineering department, produce graduates who often enter the local sponsorship pipeline through OPT before transitioning to H-1B.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ux product designer jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
