Job Summary
The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist supports the organization’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs by performing a variety of routine tasks under direct supervision. The role involves collecting and recording data, assisting with inspections and audits, supporting compliance activities, and helping prepare safety reports and documentation. Working across multiple specialty areas, the assistant helps maintain a safe and compliant workplace while gaining foundational experience in EHS practices and procedures. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established protocols are essential for success in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collect environmental and safety data through sampling, observation, and measurement.
- Assist with workplace safety inspections and environmental audits, accurately documenting findings.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of safety and compliance records, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in incident investigations by gathering information and assisting with follow-up actions.
- Help develop, update, and deliver safety training materials and communications.
- Assist with regulatory compliance activities, such as updating logs, permits, and compliance checklists.
