Build the sales function — don’t inherit it.

Aviana is a profitable, 25-year-old data and AI consultancy with its own forecast software product. We have grown entirely through referrals and long-term client relationships, which means we have excellent delivery, Fortune 1000 clients, and no new logo engine. You would be the first dedicated seller we have hired, reporting directly to the COO.

If you want a territory with warm inbound and a recognized brand, this is not it. If you have built pipeline from nothing before and want to own a go-to-market function as it grows, keep reading.

What you will sell

• Data Management — platform modernization, governance, pipelines, data quality ($250K–$1M+)

• Data Science — forecasting, predictive models, analytics engineering ($200K–$800K)

• Forward Deployed Engineering — engineers embedded with client teams building production systems ($400K–$1.5M)

• Nemesis — our forecasting and planning software for clinical laboratory and industrial supply chain ($75K–$300K ARR)

Buyers are CIOs, Heads of Data & Analytics, and VPs of Supply Chain and Operations. Cycles run for two to eight months.

What you will own

• Your own target account list and outbound motion — an SDR supports you, the strategy is yours

• Deals qualified against a written standard, not optimism

• A fixed-scope entry engagement as the wedge: land, prove, expand

• Google/ AWS/ Azure Cloud co-sell relationships

• An honest forecast and a clean CRM

What we are looking for

• 7+ years selling technology services or enterprise software to Fortune 1000 and mid-market buyers

• 3+ years carrying a new-business quota as a hunter, not an account manager

• Three new logos you sourced yourself, start to finish — be ready to walk through them

• Comfort with complex 2–8-month cycles: multiple stakeholders, procurement, security review

• Enough technical fluency to talk with a Head of Data about forecast accuracy without retreating to the brochure

• 25–40% travel

Strongly preferred: a network in healthcare, clinical laboratory, banking, or industrial manufacturing; experience selling both services and software; having been an early sales hire somewhere; hyperscale co-sell experience.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary $130,000–$160,000, depending on experience

• On-target earnings $240,000–$400,000, uncapped, with accelerators above quota

• Health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, travel expense

This is a salaried position with commission. It is not commission-only. Full details of the commission structure and ramp are shared with candidates who reach final interview.
