AI Strategy Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai strategy manager in California?
Most ai strategy managers in California enter the role through a combination of a graduate degree in business, data science, or computer science and several years working in product management, data analytics, or technology consulting. California employers, particularly in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, strongly favor candidates who can show hands-on experience with AI implementation projects. An MBA from a California research university paired with a technical portfolio of AI initiatives is among the most common paths into the role.
Which companies hire ai strategy managers in California?
Employers hiring ai strategy managers in California right now include Adobe, Airwallex, and Intuit, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's density of technology headquarters and enterprise software companies means hiring is particularly consistent among platform and cloud companies based in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.
Which California cities have the most ai strategy manager jobs?
San Francisco, San Jose, and Mountain View have the highest concentration of ai strategy manager openings in California. San Francisco and San Jose dominate because of the Bay Area's technology headquarters and venture-backed AI companies, while Los Angeles reflects growing demand from media, entertainment, and fintech firms that are embedding AI strategy into core operations.
Are there remote ai strategy manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 22% of ai strategy manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and cross-functional nature of the role. Strategic planning, stakeholder workshops, and roadmap development are the parts of the job most commonly performed remotely, while executive alignment and product launches tend to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a ai strategy manager in California with little or no experience?
