Job Background / Context:
The USCC Partnership Cards and Development Analytics team is central to driving performance and strategic insights for the organization and its key retail partners, including major brands like Costco, American Airlines, The Home Depot, Best Buy, and Macy's etc.
Core Functions/Role Expectations:
This role leads product and portfolio analytics for key co-brand partnerships, delivering actionable insights to drive card growth, improve credit penetration, and expand external sales. It applies customer lifecycle analytics to generate strategic recommendations, supports the launch of new product capabilities, and influences retailer promotion strategies through store- and department-level performance insights.
- Performance Analysis: Leads performance analytics, diagnostics, and drivers' analysis to identify and measure risks, opportunities, emerging trends, and outlooks.
- Product Analytics: Lead product analytics by analyzing customer behavior, product performance, and lifecycle metrics to generate actionable insights that guide product strategy and enhance growth outcomes.
- External Growth Lead: Execute external growth analytics by leveraging data on acquisition channels, customer segments, and market trends to generate insights that optimize outreach, improve conversion, and scale new & ECM customer growth.
- Establish value of new accounts, net present value (NPV) to improve profitability of acquisitions and acquisition programs.
- Omnichannel Strategy: Supports retail partners in optimizing customer journeys across various touchpoints, including Field Sales, upper funnel digital optimization, digital adoption, and sales engagement.
- Problem Solving: Leverages data and insights to address complex business challenges.
- Strategic Data Solutions: Develops and leads strategic data-driven solutions to enhance analytical capabilities across digital products, marketing, and customer experiences.
- Insight Democratization: Democratizes 'Customer/Portfolio Insights' to foster data-led decision-making, aiming for tangible business benefits and organizational goals.
- KPI Management: Drives critical financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as New Credit Applications, Funnel Efficiencies, Acquisitions, Sales, Credit Penetration, Wallet Share, Revenue, and Net Income.
- Team Leadership: Manages and leads an offshore team of analytics professionals.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead product and portfolio analytics for key USCC partnership card portfolios, providing performance insights, forward-looking trends, and strategic recommendations to increase acquisition volumes and accelerate growth.
- Build diagnostics frameworks and analytical insights to map underlying drivers, emerging risks and opportunities to drive growth.
- Design next generation KPIs that summarize and inform both expense and revenue opportunities.
- Drive efforts on ad hoc, time sensitive exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis to provide additional insights and context on outlooks, underlying conditions driving current acquisition outlook and trends.
- Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment, etc.
- Coordinate data gathering from external sources to inform analysis, and ensure that data is provided to appropriate teams to drive other analytic responsibilities.
- Cross-functional collaboration and driving programs to logic closure by identifying and rallying relevant teams, building consensus with functional and senior stakeholders and implementing recommendations.
- Work with marketing, finance, and risk teams to optimize, enhance, and expand programs to drive new accounts application efficiency relative to retail transactions.
- Partner with the portfolio Chief Analytics Officers to deliver analytic solutions to business initiatives. Work with local and offshore resources and provide analytic leadership and project management.
- Support Business and Global Data Analytics functions in Audits and Business Control activities.
- Appropriately assess risk in all business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets through strict compliance with laws and policies, ethical conduct, and transparent reporting of control issues.
- Document data requirements, manage data collection, processing, and cleaning, and perform exploratory analysis using statistical models, algorithms, and visualization.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Working experience in a quantitative field, Financial/Credit Card industry
- Must have Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation as well as proficient analytical skills
- Excellent analytic ability and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including excellent MS Excel skills to develop analytic presentations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment

Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
