ABOUT THE JOB
Get to Know the Opportunity
The Senior Real Estate Portfolio Analyst’s primary role is providing asset management and analytical support related to the existing high yield commercial mortgage loan portfolio. This includes bridge loans and subordinate debt which typically include a value-add strategy to be monitored and supported. The key responsibilities include monitoring and communicating property operating performance, tracking key performance indicators, performing market research and analysis, and negotiating strategic concerns at the property, loan, and platform level.
THE CONTRIBUTIONS YOU'LL MAKE
- Perform in-depth financial analysis of value-add commercial properties and high yield commercial mortgage loan portfolio.
- Monitor quarterly financials to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Oversee property performance and manage loan strategies, including travel to properties and markets to identify existing and future risks and opportunities.
- Communicate investment insights to senior leadership and investors.
- Assist with borrower negotiations, loan modifications, and strategic opportunities.
- Assist with underwriting and analysis of broad portfolio and provide actionable recommendations.
- Review and approval of borrowers’ annual property operating budgets.
- Develop efficient working relationships throughout the Real Estate Finance Group to identify strategic opportunities for improvement.
- Promote a positive attitude and working environment among fellow employees.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate or Finance or similar degree with relevant experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of commercial real estate and analytical experience required.
- Ability to understand complex loan documents and develop effective strategies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior analytical/problem solving/decision making skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft suite of products.
- Knowledge of analytical and market research tools a plus (CoStar, RCA, Argus etc.).
COMPENSATION PAY DISCLOSURE:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$100,000 to $113,000 USD
