The Business Analyst, IT, Product & Portfolio Center is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, user stories, and functional requirements to support the successful delivery of IT initiatives. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs, are user-focused, and align with ACS’s technology strategy. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to facilitate collaboration across multiple stakeholders.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Elicits and documents business, functional, and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis of business processes. 35%
Collaborates with IT, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases. 25%
Partners with QA and development teams to validate solutions, ensuring test coverage aligns with requirements and business needs.20%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience.
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degreein Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Certificate(s) or License(s): CBAP, CCBA, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
Years of experience: 2-4 years of IT business analysis experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of business analysis methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping skills.
Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in BA tools (Jira, ADO, Confluence, Visio, or equivalent).
Ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and build collaborative relationships while ensuring accountability for outcomes.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimal travel (0–10%) may be required for project, team, or dept. meeting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent sitting and computer use.
Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required.
Availability and ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed, to be on call and/or to fulfill job responsibilities and requirements.
The starting rate is $80,000 to $84,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
