Entry Level Assistant Construction Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level assistant construction manager job?
Focus on internships, co-op experience, or any hands-on project work you can show, since most entry level employers care more about what you have done on a job site or in a field role than how long your resume runs. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field strengthens your application, and familiarity with project scheduling tools or blueprints reading gives you a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level assistant construction managers?
Companies hiring entry level assistant construction managers right now include Stantec, University of Utah, and Persons Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of national general contractors, regional construction firms, and real estate development companies that build out their project teams with junior support roles.
Are there remote entry level assistant construction manager jobs?
Yes, though most roles are on-site given the nature of construction work. About 6% of entry level assistant construction manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve project coordination, administrative support, or scheduling work that can be handled off-site rather than direct field supervision.
Are these new grad assistant construction manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level openings. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-op placements as qualifying background, or explicitly invites candidates who are early in their careers and ready to learn on the job.
Which industries hire the most entry level assistant construction managers?
Entry Level assistant construction manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because ongoing residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects create a steady need for junior project support staff who can grow into full construction management roles.
