DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The full-time annual base salary range for this position is for an Assistant Professor rank: $199,166 - $211,419; Associate Professor rank: $216,858 - $230,199; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.
Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is offering an opportunity for a full-time pediatric hospitalist faculty appointment at one of the nation’s top ranked Children’s Hospitals as reported by U.S. News & World. As Oregon’s only academic health center, we strive to offer the very best medical care to every child across Oregon, Southwest Washington and beyond. We have more specialists in children’s health than anywhere else in the state and serve as the region’s tertiary and quaternary referral center. FUNCTION/DUTIES OF POSITION:
We are looking for a dynamic individual with an interest in a career in hospital medicine to join our established team of pediatric hospitalists. Hospitalists provide inpatient attending services for general pediatric patients on the medical and intermediate care units, and provide consultative services to subspecialty, surgical, and pediatric emergency department colleagues. Embracing multidisciplinary collaboration, we actively participate in a broad range of clinical, quality, educational, and research activities. Division members develop and support family-centered care principles and demonstrate excellence in communication with families and referring providers. The Division is extensively involved in providing and leading educational endeavors for medical students, as well as pediatric and family medicine house staff. More than half of Oregon’s practicing pediatricians trained at Doernbecher.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics
- Eligible for Oregon medical licensure
- Ability to be credentialed at OHSU
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
